There will not be a regularly scheduled 4pm service at BHUUF today. Instead, please join the Black Hills Center for Equality at their first annual Black Hills Pride Interfaith service.
This will be from 12:30-1:30pm at Old Storybook Island. Please bring a chair or blanket to sit on; the picnic shelter is also available should it rain or to accommodate anyone with mobility needs.
This service features musicians from BHUUF, led by our own Bob Fowler, and from Agape. We will have several interactive ritual stations, including sharing of Joys and Concerns facilitated by Jan Snedigar, communion presented by Open Heart United Methodist Church, prayer bowl and affirmation cards by Unity, and smudging provided by a member of our LGBTQ+ two-spirit community. Several speakers from local LGBTQ+ inclusive faith communities will be participating, and we look forward to having many people come to show their support.
