Program Title:  Joanna Macy and “The Great Turning"

Program Description:  Sister Simone Campbell (of the Nuns on the Bus fame) encourages us to practice holy curiosity and spread sacred gossip. This service will indeed spread the hopeful and prophetically sacred vision of Joanna Macy, Buddhist Eco-Philosopher. In this troubled time, Joanna invites every soul to be part of  “The Great Turning.” Gathered in sacred space, we will imagine how our stories might weave with life-giving practices that can support Earth’s sustainability for generations to come.

A singer and music educator, Jennie attended Boston University heeding a call to faith formation ministry. She believes that when more humans can hear the call to the divine, the world can be transformed for peace, and this happens one soul at a time. After graduating in May 2017, Jennie served as ministerial intern at the Hopedale Unitarian Parish in Hopedale, MA. She will sit for her MFC interview in December 2018 and will be serving as a community minister until ready and called otherwise.
