Our lack a creed centered around certain uniform beliefs makes some people wonder what UUs stand for. Yet our Seven Principles provide guidelines and values that allow each person to have personal beliefs that are subject to change as a result of following our Forth Principal: a free and responsible search for truth and meaning. A Unitarian Universalist is encouraged to seek reality and truth through science and philosophical study and to live in an ethical and principled way.
